KING GALLERIES

King Galleries has two signature gallery spaces that curate my paintings
in relationship with water vessels designed by indigenous Pueblo potters of the Southwest.  Both the historic and contemporary pottery encapsulate reverence for the elements and provoke remembering.  I invite you to experience the qualities of space and textures that invoke all aspects of beauty.

King Galleries is located in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Scottsdale, Arizona.

KING GALLERIES

There are several important themes that I explore in my art.  The ecology of the desert, the rivers, and the movement of water all participate in the landscapes I chose to paint. My new exhibition at King Galleries takes you to places like Abiquiu, Taos, and the Chama River.  Included in my series are also mountains from Montana and Wyoming.

My artistic practice combines plein-air painting with a discipline inside the art studio. In nature, I create opportunities for observation and stillness.  Within the art studio I arm myself with three-inch brushes and pallet knives. The textures I create on the canvas are not designed for print or digital media. This makes the gallery experience an access point to experience my intentions
as a story teller and visual artist.
